The Devil's Advocate

Situated in an old Victorian pump house hidden away on Advocate's Close in the historic and atmospheric Old Town. This bar is home to over 300 Scottish and world whiskies, and although widely celebrated for this unique collection, the team also serve devilishly good cocktails, a considered wine list and selected craft beers. The role
The Devil's Advocate is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our brilliant team.
The specific Sous Chef we are looking for will possess the following traits:

  • Considerable experience working in busy kitchen
  • A keen eye for detail, in the presentation and delivery of food as well as kitchen standards
  • Highly-organised with the ability to anticipate and manage the needs of guest & team 
  • Ability to flex to high-volume 
  • Effective communicator 
  • Kitchen management skills: food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
  • Menu creation, Dish Presentation for Final Menu Cook-Off/Tasting
