Civil Engineer (Mid / Senior) - Edinburgh Hybrid - 40-50K

Lorien are currently working with a multi-award-winning and dedicated Engineering consultancy enjoying ongoing success and expansions across their UK bases. On the back of a hike in business demand and a consistent stream of repeat business from very happy clients, they are now looking to grow their Engineering function and bring on new talent in the shapes of Senior and Mid-level Civil Engineers.

You'll join a supportive and passionate team of like-minded characters (who will invest in your upskilling), collaborate with them on exciting new work pipelines, and benefit from a steady workflow of new challenges to tackle along the way.

This firm has already proven themselves to be great at helping talented people reach their potential time and time again, and in return for your efforts they are happy to offer not only competitive salaries, but flexible hybrid working (to the tune of 3 days in, 2 days WFH per week), ongoing progression pathways, chances to dabble in new areas of engineering as you work, sponsored and supported internal/external training opportunities (with upskilling being a core part of the firm's culture), and plenty of brilliant people to work with, too.

So if that sounds good so far, take a look at the finer details and let us know as soon as possible if you're keen:

Outline of the role:

  • Work with a wider team of engineering specialists to run and tackle projects for key (and often repeat) clients covering drainage, earthworks, roads and more
  • Crafting civil engineering design solutions and working closely with members from other engineering disciplines to coordinate the successful delivery of each project
  • Enjoy a varied pipeline ready to go from day one, and see your efforts drive the delivery of a number of exciting ventures while ensuring high quality
  • Play a key role in communications with clients, ensuring they are kept up to date and feel heard
  • Manage and review documents and drawings to ensure quality and compliance as well as meet client requirements/expectations

The skills/knowledge you'll bring:

  • Proven background in Civil Engineering design
  • Skills across Drainage strategy schemes and relevant tooling such as MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage and/or similar
  • Grasp of relevant Scottish regulations and awareness (and ideally communications with) environmental/water bodies
  • Willingness to learn and work towards chartership (or other qualifications/etc. if chartership already achieved)

If this is suitable and of interest to you and you'd like to know more, get in touch right away and pop your latest CV over for us to discuss at a time that works for you
