Estimator

Peace Recruitment are looking to hire an Estimator on behalf of our client, an established and successful commercial and refurb contractor based in Scotland. They are looking to expand their team due to recent project wins. Our client specializes in fit-out projects and is seeking a skilled Estimator to join their dynamic team.

About the Company:
Our client is a leading commercial and refurbishment contractor based in Scotland, renowned for delivering exceptional fit-out projects. They pride themselves on their innovative approach and commitment to excellence, creating inspiring workspaces that meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

As an Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction phase by providing accurate cost estimates for construction projects. You will be joining a team of three and reporting to the Commercial Manager. This position is office-based, with flexible working hours from 9am - 5pm or 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Cost estimation
• Work with project managers to create competitive bids
• Conduct market research to keep up with industry trends and pricing
• Source and assess quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Find cost-saving opportunities without sacrificing quality.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar.
• Proven experience as an Estimator in construction.
• Proficient with estimating software (e.g., ProEst, On-Screen Takeoff) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
