We're seeking a dedicated individual to fill a dynamic full-time role at Peffer Place.Position: Business Support Team LeaderHours: Full-time, 36 hours per weekPay: £16.37 per hourContract Length: 6 months with possible extensionLocation: Edinburgh, Peffer PlaceAbout the Role:As our Business Support Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our operations, collaborating closely with the Head of Passenger Transport. Your role spans multiple functions including HR, Complaints, I.T. Developments, and Financial Management. You'll be instrumental in:
  • Managing and enhancing in-house systems, constantly evolving them to meet our needs.
  • Collaborating with senior staff to optimise routes and schedules for efficient service delivery.
  • Developing and delivering systems projects to enhance our Transport Management Systems.
  • Analysing data to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Training and supervising new employees on our systems and processes.
  • Providing reliable business support via various channels, maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business, Transport Planning, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make recommendations based on data.
  • Excellent decision-making and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Passenger Transport legislation and Council obligations.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using office equipment and maintaining data accuracy.
