SEN Teacher required to join a well-resourced Catholic school based in Enfield. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teacher to plan and deliver lessons to students in KS 3 and 4.

The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting students with speech and language needs and thrive on helping children achieve their full potential, be hard working, flexible and will enjoy working collaboratively in a friendly and supportive environment where the goal is to secure the best possible outcomes for students.

About this role:

Working within the Speech and Language Resource Base (SLRB) that opened in September 2022. This is a resource base for students with EHCP and diagnosis of developmental language disorder (DLD) who have been nominated by the Local Authority. The students in the resource base have the majority of their lessons in mainstream classes, and their teachers are closely supported by the SLRB teacher, Speech and Language Therapists and Learning Support Assistants to support them.

In addition, the students in the SLRB have small group lessons with the SLRB teacher to develop their expressive and receptive language skills, numeracy skills and life skills. There is a particular focus on teaching the students self-help strategies, so they understand their needs and what they need to put in place to support themselves. There will be 10 students in the SLRB in September 2024 from year 7-11. The SLRB is overseen by the SLRB manager who ensures that students are receiving the right provision for their needs.
