The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively support the project team to ensure the appropriate roles are in place in good time with minimum disruption to the wider business.

  • Drive a high-performance culture by challenging and coaching managers to appropriately apply performance and development principles and tools
  • Deliver day to day operational support and guidance to managers for complex employee relations, development, resourcing and reward as required.
  • Deliver HR training to managers
  • Lead recruitment for the site
  • Manage the employee survey and work closely with managers to ensure action plans are implemented site-wide and employee engagement is achieved
  • Coach line managers to develop their capability in managing people issues and enabling optimum performance from their teams.
  • Manage Occupational Health
  • Continual review of policy and procedures.
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to the People Administrator.
  • Line management of the People Administrator and Receptionists
  • Manage project work as and when appropriate

The Person

  • Managing complex ER issues
  • Working knowledge of employment law and best practice
  • Relationship and rapport building skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Communicate technical HR information clearly and concisely
  • Empathetic and a trusted confidante

Skills

  • Qualified to Level 5 or above / equivalent preferred
  • Workplace Mediator
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of best practice HR tools and strategies
  • Own ideas for how to create a great place to work, implementing them without direction.
