Job Description:
We are currently seeking an adept Injection Mould Technician to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless production processes by efficiently managing tool changes, resolving technical issues, and optimising machine performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular checks on the shop floor to assess production needs and identify jobs requiring tool changing or maintenance.
  • Execute approximately 150 tool changes per month, ensuring timely and accurate setup of injection moulding tools to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to machine operation, tooling, and materials, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Hang and set up injection moulding tools with precision and efficiency, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Utilize setting sheets to set up machines accurately and consistently, ensuring adherence to process parameters and quality requirements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in setting machines from scratch, utilizing technical knowledge and experience to optimize machine performance and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Operate injection moulding machines as needed to maintain production flow and efficiency, actively contributing to the production process while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams, toolmakers, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate activities, implement process improvements, and drive continuous optimization efforts.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of tool changes, machine settings, troubleshooting activities, and production data, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Work with a variety of injection moulding machines, including Negri Bossi machines and other equipment as needed.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Injection Mould Technician or similar role within the injection moulding industry, with a strong focus on tool changing, troubleshooting, and machine operation.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, setting sheets, and machine manuals.
  • Hands-on experience with Negri Bossi machines is highly desirable, with the ability to work with other machine brands as required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision, coupled with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Hours of Work:
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
  • Friday: 7:30 am to 1:30 pm
