We are currently searching for an experienced plant manager to join an established business in Stoke. The company specialises in waste management with multiple sites around the Midlands and Staffordshire.
As plant manager, you will be managing incoming consignments ensuring safe storage along with any sampling or tested that is required. You will be responsible for assigning duties to 5 direct reports as well as working alongside multi skilled teams.
We are looking to speak with experienced hands on managers who have experience working with multi skilled teams within a heavily regulated environment. Ideally candidates will have experience within hazardous waste and have a science based degree.
This role is available on a permanent contract.
Key Duties
- Manage incoming consignments
- Manage labour and resources
- Ensure testing is completed correcting
- Liaise with transport companies
- Support development projects
- Risk assessments
- Ensure safe loading and unloading
- Promote HSE policies
- Ensure waste storage is compliant
- Lead and strengthen the plant team
Experience/qualifications
- Hazardous waste preferred
- HNC or degree in Chemistry or similar
- Office packages
- Management
The working week will be Monday to Friday.
