KS3 Teacher- Gainsborough

Milk Education are recruiting for a KS3 Teacher for a Secondary School in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire to work on a long-term basis with a 12 week probation starting June! This is a SEMH school, who prides itself on providing a welcoming and purposeful environment where young people can flourish and where their needs, and aspirations are met. If successful, teachers will be required to teach small groups of 4-6 children.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum

- Teach small groups of 4-6 students general subjects as well as specialty subjects if applicable

- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

- Utilize laboratory resources to enhance learning experiences

- Provide additional support to students with special education needs

- Incorporate real-world examples and applications into lessons

- Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students

- Use behavior management techniques to maintain a productive classroom environment

- Offer tutoring and mentoring to students who require extra assistance

Non-negotiables:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Previous experience teaching at the secondary/higher primary level is desirable

- Strong knowledge of general concepts and principles

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Proficient in using technology for teaching purposes

- Experience in mentoring and guiding students in their academic journey
