Jenson Fisher have been engaged on an exclusive basis by a dynamic and forward thinking organisation based in Glasgow City Centre to recruit a Financial Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. This role would suit an ambitious and driven recently qualified CA looking to gain well-rounded experience in a high-performing finance team. The successful candidate will ideally be stepping out of a practice and keen to secure their first Industry role. This role offers excellent progression opportunities.Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will have wide-ranging duties including but not limited to:

All aspects of the month end accounts preparation for one of the main trading entities within the group
Preparation of financial statements for a number of legal entities.
Heavy involvement in the external audit process
Assist with daily cash management
Technical accounting support
Process improvements
Assisting with preparation of budgets and forecasts
Reporting performance to key stakeholders
Analysis of profit and loss; comparing actuals to budget and forecasts
Assisting the Financial Controller with ad hoc tasks and projects

Requirements:

Fully qualified chartered accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA)
Previous experience of accounts preparation
Knowledge of FRS 102 and group accounting
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Highly accurate and detail-oriented
Highly proficient Excel skills
Team player
