Who are looking for a Statutory Accountant to report to theAssistant Managers and take on the preparation of statutory accounts, boardreporting and technical accounting papers. You will work closely with externalauditors, regulators and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and accuracy.You will also have the opportunity to work on ad-hoc projects, such as liquidation/dissolutionof entities and assisting with acquisitions.Your new roleAs a Statutory Accountant, you will have theopportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in various areas of thebusiness and learn about the core processes. You will be part of a diverse andsupportive team that works together to deliver high-quality service. Your mainresponsibilities will include preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, boardreporting and technical accounting papers for multiple legal entities withinthe UK Group structure. You will also ensure compliance with accounting standards,tax laws, internal policies and professional ethics. You will work closely withexternal auditors, regulators and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy andtransparency. You will also support the Assistant Manager and the team incarrying out duties in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations andgood governance.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need to be aqualified accountant (ACCA/CA or equivalent) with UK GAAP/US GAAP experience.Working or previously worked for a large accounting/audit firm is desirable, asyou will need to have strong technical accounting skills and knowledge. Youwill also need to be comfortable working within a demanding environment withstrict deadlines, and be organised, proactive and enthusiastic. You will needto be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and have excellentcommunication and presentation skills. You will also need to be able to workindependently and also as part of a team.
