Morson are excited to be recruiting for our Defence Shipbuilding company in Govan, who require a number of site engineers to work on a contract basis.

Role summary

• Ensure the facility is operating at maximum efficiency by delivering project management of high value facilities capital and revenue expenditure projects (Civil, Mechanical/Electrical/Space Planning/Strategic) and management of all Facilities related Contractors.
• Manage and monitor assigned overhead budgets.
• Deputise for site Facilities Manager as and when necessary.
• Control of contractor interface with client operations
• Managing compliance to CDM

Duties

• Manage and implement selected construction and non-construction projects of varying value, size, and complexity across the business to meet customer expectations and deliverable requirements.
• Preparation of feasibility studies and preparation and delivery of presentations to senior management.
• Prepare analysis and collate data (including determining the availability of resources) to support the effective development of more detailed plans.
• Gather data, update project plans and generate projects progress reports on behalf of the Facilities manager.
• Preparation and Submission of Robust Financial Applications.
• Development of feasibility studies and preparation and delivery of presentations to senior management.
• Develop appropriate procedures and codes of practice for facilities management
• Monitoring and controlling contractor delivery performance

• Standard requirement for DSE regulations

Skills and Knowledge

• Good Site Project Management to cost, schedule and quality
• Compliance with all relevant processes and authorisation as necessary
• Effective Site Project Governance covering LCM, HS&E, & Quality requirements

Qualifications

• HNC/Certificate in Project or Construction Management or equivalent level of qualification
• LCM Awareness
• Health and Safety management training, for example NEBOSH
