Employment Solicitor up to 5 yr PQE – Glasgow – Salary DOE Are you an experienced Employment Solicitor looking for a new role, or Newly Qualified looking to join an established Employment team?Do you have client facing experience within the legal sector?Are you eager to join a growing, busy firm with quality clients? We are eager to speak to NQ Solicitors with an interest in employment law, or experienced solicitors looking for a new challenge in Glasgow. This role is available within an established business, who specialise in employment law issues for a variety of clients throughout the UK. They are eager to add experienced solicitors to their team, based out of their Glasgow HQ, to continue to develop their growing portfolio of business and continuously guide clients within this ever-changing area of law. Ideally, you will have a passion to provide employment law advice and guidance and enjoy building key, long-term, business relationships.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a brilliant firm who are highly regarded in their field!This is a full-time, permanent role based in Glasgow City Centre. This role will follow a hybrid working model, with on-site parking. The salary for this role will be dependent on level of experience. Are you who we are looking for?
  • You are a NQ Solicitor or experienced Solicitor / Senior Solicitor, specialising in Employment Law
  • You hold a LLB (Hons) DIP LP and an unrestricted Practising Certificate
  • You have client facing experience, and can provide employment law support, advice and representation to businesses across the UK
  • You are a confident communicator both written and orally
  • You have excellent time and diary management
  • You have experience attending tribunals and court when required to represent clients
  • You can support Trainee’s within the team, develop knowledge, experience and understanding
  • You can act as a brand ambassador, promoting the businesses and services on offer
What is the day to day like?
  • Managing and maintaining a bespoke portfolio of business clients under the direction of the senior management team
  • Following businesses client care protocols
  • Advising on retained and ad-hoc business clients needs, via telephone, email, face to face and virtually when required
  • Liaising with the Head of Litigation with regards to employment tribunals
  • Drafting contracts of employment, handbooks, policies and procedures
  • Drafting a range of employment documentation and settlement agreements
  • Preparing training materials and delivering training to clients
  • Continuously developing skills and experience, satisfying the Law Society’s requirements
  • Contributing to any social media activities and initiatives
