Meraki Talent is currently recruiting a Payroll Assistant on a full-time permanent basis for one of our client based in Glasgow.

Position Overview: As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll activities. This role requires attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage the full payroll cycle for employees, including data entry, verification, and distribution of payslips or electronic transfers.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime to calculate accurate payments.
  • Collaborate with HR to address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit reports for management, including payroll summaries and tax filings.
  • Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and contribute to the development and improvement of payroll processes.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in payroll administration or a related field.
  • Knowledge of payroll software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing payroll.
