MANUAL TESTER - INITIAL 6 MONTH CONTRACT - OUTSIDE IR35

Loriens Leading public sector client is looking for a experienced Manual Tester with experience testing specifically on Java.

Essential skills:

• Technology knowledge - good experience of (last 2 years):
  • Best Practice test approaches
  • Proficient around Linux based environments
  • AWS environment experience
  • Mariadb/Mysql experience
  • Agile testing principles
  • Bug reporting
  • Defect tracking

• Self-management and proactive risk assessed decision making
  • Demonstrable experience in Java, Selenium and Cucumber test creations (create tests in feature files)
  • Build and maintain relationships with business SME's and wider release test team.
  • Able to make decisions characterised by managed levels of risk and complexity and recommend decisions as risk and complexity increase.

• Governance
• Understands government requirements of governance, auditability and accountability
• Experience of working within a Government facing position
• Automation
  • Hands on experience of working within a test team writing automation tests
  • Experience of running automated smoke and regression tests on deployed environments
