I am looking for a Technical Support Engineer who will be essential in ensuring that the company operates in the correct manner with future progression into more senior roles available for the right candidate.

My client is a well-established telecommunications company based in the Gloucestershire area and deal with markets such as Military, Government, Transport and Utilities and are looking to add a Technical Support Engineer to enhance an already strong and capable team.

Based in Gloucestershire

£33,000-£44,000 basic salary dependant on experience

20 days plus bank holidays and birthday off

Skill’s and Requirement’s

-          Specialist knowledge of Optical Networks and associated.

-          Familiar with test equipment such as optical power meters and light sources, BERT’s, cellular scanners and multi meters.

-          Familiar with RTE, Routing, Switching protocols and networks synchronisation.

-          Conduct testing and produce comprehensive test documentation/reports.

-          Efficient in fault finding.

-          Manage fault tickets.

-          Ability to both administer and run turnkey projects.

-          Experience with remote network management platforms.

-          Ability to carry out field activities when required such as installation, surveys commissioning and fault rectification.
