Advanced Practitioner - Children with Disabilities

We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practitioner to join our Children with Disabilities team in Gloucestershire. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional services and achieving the best outcomes for children and young people with complex needs. As a resilient and driven professional, you will manage a protected caseload and contribute to our vision for children’s services. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team during a period of transformation and expansion.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Manage a protected caseload of children and young people with disabilities, ensuring the best outcomes.
  • Lead quality control and improvement activities within the team and across the service.
  • Support performance activities and provide supervision and management oversight.
  • Mentor Trainee Social Workers on placement and Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW) within the team.
  • Collaborate with partners to ensure accurate assessments of need and effective support plans.
  • Drive forward the transformation and expansion of the teams to improve children’s life chances.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in social work, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent.
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • UK-based statutory social work experience.
  • Completion of Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) if qualified after 2012.
  • A full driving licence and willingness to drive.
  • DBS clearance.
  • Experience at Senior Social Worker level.
