My client is based in a theatre in Hayes and is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and skilled Technical and Facilities Manager to ensure their productions run smoothly and their venue remains top-notch.   • Salary - 38k - 42k- depending on experience.
  • Permanent Position- Available straight away.
  • Hours- 40 hours per week on a rota including regular evening and weekend working.

 Primary Objectives:

  • Ensure the provision of comprehensive technical services, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and presentation.
  • Oversee the venue's statutory, planned, and reactive maintenance programs, ensuring technical and stage equipment operates to the desired standard.
  • Lead and support the in-house production program.
  • Manage and lead the technical stage personnel within the venue.

 The Manager's daily tasks include:

  • Lead and manage the technical stage team.
  • Coordinate with touring managers and users for event preparation.
  • Operate sound, lighting, rigging, and staging equipment; assist with setups and performances.
  • Maintain stock levels of materials and equipment.
  • Resolve technical and building service issues.
  • Manage the venue efficiently and sustainably.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to achieve business objectives.

 Theatre Premises and Property Management:

  • Oversee maintenance and compliance.
  • Ensure safe equipment use.
  • Implement schedules and manage projects.
  • Handle supplier and contractor contracts.
  • Supervise contractors and ensure safety.
  • Conduct routine inspections.
  • Procure goods and services.
  • Act as keyholder.
Team Leadership
  • Recruitment, training, and performance management of the Technical and Maintenance teams to achieve business and service goals.
  • Support and lead the Senior Technician and Technical team to ensure high standards and teamwork.
  • Contribute to inductions on Health and Safety and promote excellent stewardship of buildings and plant to meet company targets.
Health & Safety
  • Manage premises security with the management team to protect Parkwood Theatres' interests.
  • Conduct and document risk assessments for buildings and site, distributing them to relevant departments.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental and company Health & Safety procedures.
  • Perform related duties and delegated tasks as needed.
  • Lead Safety, Health, and Environmental objectives, implementing risk assessments, policies, and procedures. Produce reports for PT Directors and central team.
