My client is looking for an Engineering Assistant to join on them on a permanent basis. As an Engineering Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Hydraulics Team by Cleaning & Identifying Hydraulic assemblies & components, pipes & hoses and creating preliminary paperwork in accordance with schedule and priorities. They will also support the development of new production processes required to maintain the company's competitive position.

Role: Engineering Assistant - Hydraulics - Permanent Role
Pay: From 22,900 per annum PAYE
Location: West London
Hours: Monday to Friday 40.00 per week, 8am to 5pm
Must have the right to live and work in the UK without restrictions.

Job Profile

  • To perform initial identification of Hydraulic assemblies & components, pipes & hoses and preparing them ready for disposition
  • To clean incoming Hydraulic assemblies & components, pipes & hoses.
  • Disassembly of small parts and local paint removal of parts after disassembly
  • Creating preliminary paperwork on SAP for Hydraulic assemblies & components.
  • Assisting with improvements and changes to company documents and leasing with Internal customers to ensure changes/improvements are completed.
  • Assisting and working with the disposition team to meet deadlines and work effectively.
  • Prepare and group parts I.A.W company documents ready for disposition and inspection, ensuring that components are clean and in a condition, which allows effective inspection.
  • Work to Production priority lists as detailed by Production Control.
  • Interface with other Production Departments.
  • To promote and monitor compliance with legislation, company policy and codes of practice relating to Health and Safety at work.
  • To be aware of company policies, procedures and agreements in order to:
  • Work within established company policies, procedures and agreements
  • Avoid setting precedents, which could be detrimental to operations and the business.
  • An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company's environmental procedures.
  • You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book
  • You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience
  • All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures
  • Other duties as directed by the Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager.
  • To embrace and actively improve the LEAN processes

* To ensure all KPI targets for the department are met Accurately Identify Hydraulic components using documents and technical OEM references and preparing them for disposition

Skills/Experience Required

* Experience within an Aerospace Engineering or equivalent Environment preferred but not essential
* Previous knowledge and experience of having worked with Hydraulics components preferred but not essential
* Previous knowledge of Boeing manuals preferred but not essential
Personal Qualities
* Flexible approach to work.
* Good attention to detail.
* Good team player.
* Good attitude to workshop housekeeping.
* Able to work to tight deadlines.
