The Company:

Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a specialist Acoustic Engineering company, who design, manufacture, and install their own Acoustic hardware. Having been established for over 50 years, they are renowned in their field. Their main projects are based around London and the Southeast, however, they also have large international projects in Europe. They are involved in a multitude of industries including residential, commercial, and sport and leisure.

Due to rapid expansion, my client is recruiting at all levels. They are looking for an experience CAD Designer to join their busy team at their head office, in Hertford.

The Role:

CAD Designer duties include site visits to gain information to produce drawings, and to liaise with Engineers, contracts department, and customers to secure approval of drawings.

Role responsibilities include:

• Carrying out dimensional site surveys on exciting projects throughout the UK and occasionally in Europe.
• Attending interesting design meetings, based either on site or online.
• Coordinating designs with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Producing detailed manufacturing and installation drawings, general arrangement drawings, and as-built drawings.
• The opportunity to work independently as well as part of the supportive design team.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 10 years' experience in the construction industry, preferably in the HVAC, mechanical, or structural steelwork sectors.
• Understand how to develop and deliver a working design from conception to completion with the required budget.
• Proven track record in CAD, including excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2024 LT.
• Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, with a strong focus on customer care.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills that enable high quality work in a busy environment.
• Full UK driving license and a passport, including the willingness to travel.
