Rare opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join a well respected regional contractor in Hertfordshire

Our client have been founded for over 50 years, and work across a diverse range of projects / sectors, including Education, Health & Community, Industrial, Leisure & Retail and Commercial Buildings

Your new role Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will sit within the Preconstruction team and will:

Be responsible for organising or undertaking design and checking work or providing other professional services.
Provide technical advice to team members and clients.

Experience needed:

Ideally Degree/HND/HNC qualified with experience in Mechanical Design Engineering or Similar
The ability to lead mechanical design work packages and have experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team with the awareness and understanding of the challenges that this may bring.
Awareness of proving and qualification activities to ensure compliance against requirements.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders across the business.
Experience of supplier engagement and development across internal and external multi-disciplinary teams.

Working hours 8.30 - 5 with 1 hour for lunch
