Horticulture Manager | Vibrant Garden Centre | £37,500 - £40,000

Zachary Daniels Retail Recruitment is working together with a fantastic Garden Centre group to recruit an exceptional Horticulture Manager. We want to recruit a Horti Manager who is passionate about their business and can offer great service to customers.

As a Horticulture Manager, you will work closely with your team to develop a strong relationship and set the standards in your department. We want someone who is committed, hard working and passionate about their department, will work closely with other departments in store at all times.

Ideally you will have a horticulture qualification, or, strong experience, along with exceptional standards. We want a Horticulture Manager with strong attention to detail, high standards and the confidence to inspire those around you.

Experience of working in a Garden Centre, Nursery or big box store environment is important for this role, you will be able to educate your teams and colleagues to demonstrate outstanding product knowledge at all times.

You will be responsible for all aspects of your department and section, manage the department and be responsible for recruitment, training and standards. As a Horticulture Manager you will manager all aspects of the operation, put customers at the hart of what you do and deliver exceptional results. You will be able to drive sales, have high visual merchandising standards and ensure the area is attractive and appealing at all times.

The Successful Horticulture Manager will be

  • Strong horticulture experience
  • Transferable skills
  • Relevant horti qualifications - preferred, not essential
  • Proven experience of leading large teams
  • Able to demonstrate a strong background in garden centres/nurseries or horti environments
  • Motivated to inspire your teams
  • Effective maintenance of all growing areas
  • Experience of Horticulture an advantage, or a strong affinity will be considered.
