IT TECHNICIAN- FREIGHT FORWARDING

My clients a global freight forwarder based within the Heathrow area, they are seeking an experienced IT Technician to join their busy expanding team!

Duties would include:

• Manage Daily Back-ups ensuring tape cycle is maintained and backup tapes are rotated as per the company Standards.

• Manage the stock of IT consumable items ensuring stock levels of toner are kept within a defined limit and ensuring used toners are disposed of in an ecological way.

• Once trained to an acceptable level the employee will be expected to be scheduled to help on the IT helpdesk.

• Works with other members of the IT team in maintaining the IT Hardware and software in the branch offices. This may require the employee to visit GW branch offices to resolve IT issues.

Skills required:

• Knowledge of IT hardware and software
• Problem solving and trouble shooting ability
• Outstanding communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
• 5 year checkable history/ clean DBS check

Working hours:

• Monday- Friday 0900-1730 (fully office based)
