Secondary School Teaching Assistant

Stafflex Education partners with numerous secondary schools and academies across Huddersfield and West Yorkshire, seeking vibrant and resourceful teaching assistants for a variety of roles, including day-to-day, short-term, and long-term placements.

Our secondary schools are in need of enthusiastic, adaptable, and compassionate individuals to serve as Educational Teaching Assistants (ETAs). As a secondary teaching assistant, you'll be instrumental in supporting students across diverse subjects, fostering social skills, maintaining focus, and contributing significantly to student learning. Your role will encompass both one-on-one assistance and general classroom support, including the preparation of learning resources.

To qualify for this opportunity, please ensure you meet the following requirements:

  • Recent experience working with secondary age children (KS3/4), preferably within an educational setting
  • Possession of a Level 3 qualification or equivalent Flexibility coupled with effective behaviour management skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both students and colleagues
  • A comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of employment, with clear explanations for any gaps
  • Compliance with Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), in accordance with our robust safeguarding policy
  • Legal authorisation to work in the UK
  • Availability for a face-to-face registration interview
