Your new company
Hays are proud to be working on behalf of a reputable organisation that provide support to children in a residential setting that have mental health conditions. This company provide care, support and emotional support to these children aged 8-18 years of age.


Your new role
As a Support Worker you will be required to support children within the residential home with everyday life. Your main duty is to promote independence for these children so they are able to undertake a healthy and independent life. You will be responsible for taking children out into the community and organising and being involved in activities. You will also be a key part of these children's mental health recovery and will be trained to give support in distressing situations.
The shifts of this position will vary between earlys, lates and long days and occasionally some nights and sleep ins. Your rota will be given in advance and can be discussed further in interview.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you MUST be able to drive as this role will involve transporting the children to and from schools and to activities within the community.
To be successful in this role you MUST have right to work in the UK and be living here
To be considered for this role you must also have experience within the social care industry. Ideally, with those with mental health OR working with children however this is not essential.
