Metalis is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing company in Keighley who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Multi-Skilled Service Engineer on a permanent basis.

Job Duties:

  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of electro-mechanical high-value 5-axis equipment/machinery on customer premises.
  • Ensuring outstanding customer service and identifying additional value-enhancing opportunities.
  • Operate equipment/machinery through installation and commissioning to ensure that performance, quality and rate of running meet specifications.
  • Providing training to customer personnel on equipment/machinery maintenance, adjustment, and repair.
  • Repair defective or faulty equipment/machinery.
  • Conducting troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment setup and process issues; performing on-site and internal troubleshooting.
  • Engaging in equipment/machinery refurbishments, re-tooling, and refits when necessary.
  • Recording all inspections, maintenance, and repair activities, as well as fault-finding and diagnostic procedures.
  • Preserving tools and test equipment in optimal condition; organizing activities in accordance with lean manufacturing principles, 5S standards, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or alternative required discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Technical or engineering qualification in mechanical engineering is required, or relevant experience
  • Experienced in PLC and CNC controls (Siemens, Fanuc etc.)
  • Willing and able to travel regularly within the UK; occasional travel abroad may be required.
  • Understanding of Field Bus Profinet, Profibus.
  • Work to a high standard at all times ensuring adherence to current FMS Health & Safety standards
  • Ability to be flexible in working time
  • Good customer service skills with expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving complex machining / grinding related problems.
  • Computer literate and good understanding of Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook and Word
  • Car driver with a full driving licence.
