Berry Recruitment is hiring! We require a Permanent CNC Programmer / Machinist to work for our client in South Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire.

Reporting directly to the Composites Manager, you will be a crucial member of our proficient team, focusing on precision CNC programming and machining. Your primary responsibilities will include programming, setting up, and operating our advanced 3-axis Multicam machine within the composites division. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our Dry Lay and Infusion teams to ensure efficient production processes.

Salary: Circa £30,000+ Depending on Experience

Location: South Oxfordshire

Hours : 7am - 3pm Monday to Friday

Start date: ASAP

About the role:

  • Generate CNC programs and machine plywood and foam components following best practices and provided guidelines.
  • Assist in kitting across a range of mould tools to optimise material kits and processes.
  • Create layout sheets to assist with setups and machine parameters, ensuring consistent and repeatable results using Fusion 360.
  • Ensure accurate completion of component tracking information and related documentation for batch tracking and trace-ability.
  • Monitor and maintain all tools and equipment, working with the facilities team to manage service schedules.
  • Liaise with the Company's Technical and Quality departments as necessary to improve documentation, process controls, and components.
  • Maintain regular communication with Team Leaders and Planning teams to optimise material supply and meet production targets.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to implementing solutions.
  • Provide training to temporary staff in CNC processes when required.
  • Maintain a clean and organised production facility, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.

About you:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in CNC programming and machining.
  • Strong background in Fusion 360 would be advantageous
