SRG are delighted to be partnered with a leading agricultural and food producing organisation based in the Perth & Kinross area. This company are looking for a potato breeder to help their breeding team, working in product development.
This position is the perfect opportunity for recent graduates in agriculture/plant science who have a bit of hands-on experience
What the role involves
- Practical breeding of Potatoes
- Data collection from field trials, you will also be involved in the planning and execution of these trials
- Responsibility for Health & Safety of Breeding Tunnels
What they are looking for
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Knowledge of plant breeding and growth - training on specific potato breeding can be provided
- Horticultural/agricultural education to at least HND level
- Hands-on experience with crop management/trials/agricultural processes
This role requires a large volume of time outdoors in the field carrying out crop trials, so be prepared for the Scottish Weather
