Elevation Senior Finance are working with a leading manufacturing business based in Leeds who are looking to bring in a Financial Accountant on a permanent full-time basis.

Reporting directly into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the finance team in managing the financial accounts including assisting with audits and the oversight of statutory accounts, cash flow forecasting, treasury & banking and taking ownership for the balance sheet.

Duties of the Financial Accountant will include:

  • Providing support to the Finance Manager in the timely & accurate submission of the statutory accounts and audit thereof
  • Internal controls – finance coordinator. Proactively arranging independent checks and administration of work to specific internal control owners throughout the business
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Management of the accounts payable function including arranging payments to ensure alignment to the cash forecast, reconciliation of statements where applicable, reviewing and approving vendor down payments and assisting with coding of non-PO invoices
  • Cash forecast coordination
  • Analytically assess and prepare reconciliation with actuals, explaining deviations
  • Concur administrator duties including assisting users with expense claims, compliance checks and running the monthly BACS claims to employees
  • Preparing bank reconciliations & managing access and user permissions
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for areas of responsibility
  • Providing absence cover for Finance Manager
  • Assisting with key events/busy periods throughout the year, including financial year end, audit periods (interim, final and internal), and budget processes
