This position requires a skilled SOX & Audit Manager to oversee our accounting and financial operations in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act. The role entails managing audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing financial procedures within a professional services environment.

Description

The SOX & Audit Manager will be responsible for;

  • Overseeing and managing SOX compliance activities across the organisation.
  • Perform regular internal audits and prepare detailed audit reports.
  • Enhance financial procedures and establish best practices for financial reporting.
  • Ensure all company financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
  • Train and mentor junior team members in SOX compliance and audit procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with department heads to improve financial efficiency.
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.
  • Develop action plans for resolving any identified issues.

Profile

A successful SOX & Audit Manager should have:

  • A formal accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Proven experience in a SOX compliance and audit management role.
  • Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, internal audit procedures, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced professional services environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
