As they continue to expand their services, they are seeking a talented Furniture Estimator to join in delivering exceptional results to their valued customers.

Position Overview: As a Furniture Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the clients' projects. You will be responsible for accurately assessing spaces, understanding clients' needs, and providing detailed estimations for furniture layouts. This role requires a keen eye for design, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate incoming enquiries to ensure they are in line with company capabilities.
  • Identify and offer value engineer solutions to align with client’s budget and expectations.
  • Conduct handover meeting with project managers to ensure project is delivered in accordance with the tendered concept and to budget.
  • Provide support to designers and project managers during the manufacturing and installation period of all orders.
  • Accurate assessments of the materials and labour required to construct furniture.
  • Understanding and interpreting client’s drawings and tender documents.
  • Revise quotations in response to any design alterations from the client or end-user.
  • Confident approach to question design intent to enable best manufacturing methods.
  • Continuous interaction with our manufacturing and design teams to advance estimating skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Over 5 years’ experience within joinery/ furniture sector
  • Ability to organise & prioritise tasks
  • Appreciation of the need to get the job done on time and to the correct standard
  • Ability to solve problems by acting on own initiative
  • Actively develops strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues
  • IT Literate- particularly Excel
  • Good communicator, able to communicate at all levels
  • Willingness to learn
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexible approach and can-do attitude.
