Senior Packaging Designer - Leeds - GBP £35,000 - £45,000 DOE

With an award-winning portfolio in the FMCG industry, this company is looking to grow out its design team - so they're now on the hunt for a talented Senior Packaging Designer to join their in-house team of specialists.

They are a leading agency renowned for its creativity and strategic approach. This is an amazing opportunity to join a vibrant and knowledgeable team working with an impressive range of global names!

You'll have extensive experience from within a similar position, preferably in the FMCG sector, and significant exposure to branding, packaging, and print. You will be a conceptual designer with a great eye for typography and a thorough understanding of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

This role requires you to work from the Leeds-based office 3 times per week. This means you will need to live and have the right to work in the UK.

Key Requirements:

Confidently present design concepts to clients with clarity, ensuring understanding and alignment.
Previous agency experience is essential, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
The ability to exhibit strong skills in typography and typesetting, enhancing the visual impact of designs.
Strong understanding of print production processes, packaging materials, and POS terminology
Experience working with global clients, understanding cultural nuances and market distinctions.
Exposure to translating client brand vision and requirements into compelling design concepts.
Proven experience working as a Senior Designer in a creative agency or design studio.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools.
A very strong and high-quality portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, with a focus on packaging.

Responsibilities:

Take charge of project design processes, ensuring that creativity seamlessly meets client objectives.
You will play a key role in conceptualising and executing design projects for their clients.
You will collaborate closely with their creative team to develop compelling visual solutions that effectively communicate clients' brand stories and resonate with their target audience.
From initial concept development to final production, you will have the opportunity to contribute your ideas and expertise to projects of varying scales and complexities.
Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing fresh ideas and creative insights to support project development and marketing strategies.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design tools, and software to continuously improve your skills and bring innovative design solutions to the team.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality design assets while meeting deadlines.
