Senior Buyer - Off-Price & Clearance Specialist

£50K Basic + Bonus
We need a highly motivated Senior Buyer to lead our client's off-price purchasing strategy. You'll bring your expertise in out-of-season, end-of-range, and overstock merchandise to the table, maximizing our profits with your exceptional sourcing and negotiation skills.
What you'll do:
- Scour the market, build relationships, and attend industry events to uncover the best off-price opportunities.
- Evaluate merchandise, understand trends, and know what sells - your data-driven decisions will boost our bottom line.
- Negotiate like a pro, securing the most favourable terms and building strong supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with merchandising and sales to ensure your finds align with our needs.
Your must-haves:
- 3-5 years' buying experience (ideally in a related sector, like discount retail or distribution).
- Proven success in Buying.
- Director-level negotiation skills: You're comfortable closing deals with the big players.
- Clearance market knowledge: You understand the ins and outs of the industry.
- Excel and CRM systems
- Organisation and drive: You're a self-starter who gets things done!
