SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) required Leeds!

Maze Recruitment Group (MRG) are currently looking for multiple Teaching Assistants (SEN TA). We are working with a mainstream Primary School/Secondary in Leeds who are looking to recruit experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work within KS1- KS4 supporting both the full classes and also specific pupils at different points of the week.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) you will support pupils from Primary and Secondary who have general behaviour support needs, and pupils who have Autism and requires extra support with learning.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) you will support both the class teachers in full class/small group work and also parts of the week on a 1:1 basis with the specific young people.

The Role:

• Working both in full class support.
• Be able to adapt to the needs of the child in lessons and assist them in their school day.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage the children to stay on task.
• Clarifying and explaining any questions or instructions given to the pupil.
• Support the class teacher with any additional duties.

Requirements:

• Experience working with people with learning difficulties is essential.
• Experience in a SEN education setting is ideal.
• Team Teach training is desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to carry one out.
• Phonics training/knowledge desirable.
• Candidate must have a caring, calm nature.
