On offer is a unique opportunity to join a highly reputable manufacturer, leading the way in the design and manufacture of high power electrical resistors, looking to expand within specific sectors. They currently turnover over £10 million, with 90 employees, supplying to OEM's and end users throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Their products have a diverse range of applications, including power resistors for power quality, and neutral earthing for MV and HV network systems. They are currently experiencing increasing demand for their products, therefore seeking an Applications Engineer to review new solutions for various markets, put together bids and tenders and complete market and competitor analysis.

The role:

• Learn about the company's products and services (resistors and cooling methods)
• Review and put together solutions for offshore, automotive, industrial automation and marine markets. Assist with the design of new solutions to demanding markets e.g. HV and marine (including the Navy)
• Develop long term relationships with clients, ensuring you understand technical requirements
• Liaise with internal sales to produce quotations
• Research market and competitors products
• Liaise with Technical, R&D and engineering / production

The person:

• Applications Engineer or similar OR industry experience, looking to train into an Applications Engineer role
• Ideally any background, experience or understanding of LV / HV
• Mechanical / Electrical knowledge
