A global engineering group is currently developing a highly innovate product and has a new vacancy for a CNC Machining Technician. Working in the new product development team you will produce prototype components and small product runs to test design validity. Candidates are sought with a high level of machining knowledge, Fanuc programming and a good understanding of aerospace standards.

Salary: 33,000 - 37,000 p.a. + benefits

Suitable for: CNC Engineer, CNC Machining Engineer, CNC Setter, CNC Miller, CNC Programmer.

The Role

Fanuc Programming and setting CNC machines.

Liaising with the project team to ensure that all development parts are completed to on time deadlines.

The creation and implementation of training programmes backed up with SOP's and stage drawings.

Creation of inspection plans and programming of mechanised inspection equipment.

Verification & validation of machining strategies and inspection methods.

Training of operators to operate machinery & one to one training on job operations.

Assist the project team with the Industrialisation from product development to mass production.

Process optimisation to optimise product quality and productivity.

Work with tooling suppliers to optimise consumable costs.

The Person

Apprentice trained with 5 years' experience in a machine shop environment.

Fanuc CNC lathe programming with Macro knowledge for low volume production.

Good understanding of cutting tools.

Preferred knowledge of CAD CAM, AutoCad and Solidworks is desirable.

Must be computer literate and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work with minimal supervision.
