The Role

You will work collaboratively with the design team within workshops, taking drawings from concept through to construction, ensuring they are consistent, accurate, current, effectively communicated and meet the demands of the budget.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Working to briefs taken from Sales Operations team, identify and understand their customer needs and maintain the flow of the project information, providing detailed quotations within deadlines and achieving desired margins
  • Produce drawings to the appropriate level of detailing for client approval and ensuring drawings are accurate to manufacture against.
  • As part of the creative and design team, you will feedback issues and ideas to help develop processes, customer service and products and improve its capability, performance
  • Maintain bespoke training resources and guidelines
  • Work with the Design Manager to create custom and bespoke considerations on new designs.
  • Using SolidWorks and the CAD database ensure all files are up-to-date and to the latest revision, clear, consistent, accessible and in accordance with the company's standards.

The Candidate:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably furniture or shopfitting
  • SolidWorks proficiency
  • You will have a technical and commercial understanding of furniture, Shopfitting, materials and techniques for effective manufacture
  • You will be able to work to deadlines with strong planning, prioritisation and time management skills
  • You will possess a keen eye for detail, with an appreciation for the highest quality craftsmanship and materials
