Ashton Gate have an exciting opportunity for a Food & Beverage Director to join the team.

About Us:

Ashton Gate Stadium is a unique sports and entertainment business with the core aim of providing integral support services to ensure the sustainability of Stephen Lansdown’s sporting group of companies which includes Bristol Sport, Bristol City, Bristol Bears, Bristol Flyers Basketball and each of their respective community charities.

Food & Beverage Director – The Role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Interim senior and proven venue, sports, or high volume food and beverage professional to take on the challenging role of Food & Beverage Director for at least the next 12 months.  This could become a permanent role for the right person.  The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running with a fresh vision for all events which are held at the stadium. 

These will primarily fall into four categories:

- Match day hospitality across two sports (Football & Rugby) in both the male and female teams

- International sporting events

- Venue Events & Concerts

- Fan zone development

Food & Beverage Director – Key goals for the position will include:

- A modernisation of food and beverage delivery to fit into the modern world of sport hospitality

- Alongside the executive chef, develop a modern bank of food menus to reflect the current trends of delivery

- Develop further innovative concepts of food and beverage delivery

- Coaching, direction, and recruitment for a senior food and beverage team

- Key Performance Indicator (KPI) deliverables on food and beverage gross profit%   

- Grow and develop the non-match day operational side of the business in terms of food and beverage delivery

- Grow and develop the fan zone and general admission areas of the stadium in terms of service quality and profit

Food & Beverage Director – You:

- The ability to lead from the front and be very hands-on when required

- Premium hospitality start up or turn around experience

- Strong budget and analytical skills – the ability to improve and implement an effective premium food and beverage strategy which includes payroll, cost control and profit tracking

- Strong interpersonal skills across multi stakeholders and owners, whilst having strong conviction to achieve the vision
