Job Overview: We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Art Teacher to join our team in Leighton Buzzard as a supply teacher. As an Art Teacher, you will inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for creativity and artistic expression. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in nurturing talent, developing skills, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and creative art lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  2. Student Engagement: Inspire students by fostering a love for art, encouraging creativity, and providing constructive feedback on their work.
  3. Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, managing behavior effectively to ensure a conducive atmosphere for learning.
  4. Resource Management: Effectively utilize available resources, materials, and technology to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
  5. Assessment and Feedback: Conduct assessments, provide timely and constructive feedback to students, and maintain accurate records of their progress.
  6. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support the overall development of students and contribute to the school community.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience teaching art in the UK education system.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for fostering creativity in students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to promoting an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
