Our client is looking for aCustomer Service and Production Team Member to join their team.
Hours Monday to Wednesday and Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm, we could potentially be flexible on this
Ability to provide holiday/sick cover at other times for colleagues
This is a challenging yet rewarding role and requires someone who is highly motivated, has excellent time management skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines set by customers.
About the role
Produce a variety of printed items from flyers, business cards and leaflets to booklets, folders, poster and plan prints and other variable printed items.
Finish printed items - laminating, creasing, folding etc.
Organise the production workflow and produce items to tight deadlines
Organise packing and shipment
Communicate with customers about the progress of their jobs
Ability to manage own workload, work in a team and meet deadlines
After full training has the ability to be a key holder to open/close premises
Day to Day Duties
Communicate with customers at sales counter, by phone and by email.
Take details of orders/ printing needs and advise when necessary
Liaise with other team members, graphic designer and accounts administrator
Use PC (and Mac) to open check files and send to various printing equipment
Liaise with subcontract suppliers for some orders
Ensure jobs are printed as needed to fulfil customer order
Quality control jobs before print run is set in production
Use various print finishing equipment guillotines, booklet makers, folding and creasing machines, binding and drilling machines, laminators.
Completing all necessary work from print through to finishing and despatch and ensure entered into system for invoicing/charging at counter
Following health and safety, environmental and all company policies
Ensure the work environment is clean, tidy, and safe, that equipment is safely maintained so the best quality print is achieved
Essential Skills
Personable nature to work with customers and physically able to load and unload paper into machines.
Ability and willingness to use various computer programmes
Practically minded with a technical/mechanical aptitude and willing and able to learn and apply new product or technical knowledge.
Open to changing environment based on market conditions and business
Ability to use own initiative willing to be flexible during busy periods with a can do attitude. A keen eye for detail, whilst producing high quality work, to tight timescales
Full training is provided on programmes and all equipment but experience of using digital printer and copiers is an advantage, or experience of using other manufacturing equipment may help.
Need to be physically fit to be able to move boxes of paper, load/unload paper in machines
Wants to work in a team and with customers in person

Starting salary £22,500 (37.5 hours) pro-rata for 30 hours
