Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + performance bonus & company vehicle

Specialising in the supply of adhesives, abrasives and other consumable products to the manufacturing, industrial and aerospace sectors, our client are looking to recruit a highly motivated, experienced Area Sales Manager to cover the Northern territory (Birmingham to Scottish Borders).

Working for a market leader you will receive a strong starting basic of up to £50,000 (more dependent upon experience), a generous bonus structure, company vehicle, pension contributions and excellent opportunities for career progression.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience within the industrial or related industry and will drive sales growth within the industrial sector. This role requires strategic planning, relationship building, and a passion for exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue targets within the Northern territory
  • Identify and prioritize potential industrial sector clients within the assigned territory
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts
  • Conduct engaging sales presentations, demonstrations, and meetings to showcase their range of self-adhesive solutions
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including customer service, technical support, and product development, to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and initiatives
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and budgets to monitor performance and guide decision-making
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand network and enhance brand visibility within the North territory

The person:

  • 5+ years experience in B2B sales, preferably within the Tape, Adhesive & Abrasives
  • Deep understanding of the industrial sector, including regulations, standards, and customer requirements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment while working independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
