We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled team player with experience in a third-line role, preferably within an MSP environment. The ideal candidate will assist in enhancing the support team's technical knowledge, communicating effectively with both customers and account managers, and demonstrating a passion for IT and exceptional customer service.

This role entails providing senior-level IT infrastructure and systems engineering support, design, and implementation to clients of a Managed Services Provider and Consultancy. It serves as the final escalation point for IT issues, requiring exceptional technical expertise, occasional after-hours work, on-call support, and site visits. Strong communication skills are crucial for direct interaction with non-technical staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing 3rd line technical support for hardware and software issues.
  • Acting as a technical leader for support issues, training and advising team members to enhance their skills.
  • Offering technical support and engineering for networking infrastructure, contributing to WAN, LAN, and Cloud design, implementation, and security.
  • Taking ownership of assigned incidents and managing them to resolution.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and demonstrating a willingness to exceed customer expectations.
  • Utilizing a 'hands-on' problem-solving approach and effectively managing workloads.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience in IT support services or consultancy
  • Experience in installation and configuration of systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Server technologies such as MS Server (2016,2019, 2022), Active Directory Services, Group Policy, Windows Terminal Services, PowerShell, etc.
  • Advanced Exchange (2016, 2019) installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Virtualization configuration and troubleshooting (HyperV/VMware)
  • Firewall troubleshooting across mainstream products
  • Network Management skills including TCP/IP, L3 routing, VLAN management, and LAN/WAN
  • SQL Server troubleshooting experience
  • General hardware/software troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Disaster Recovery, Replication, and Recovery knowledge
  • Anti-virus technologies expertise (Eset, Bitdefender)
  • Willingness to attain Microsoft accreditations

Desirable Skills:

  • Microsoft 365 - Azure, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange & Intune/Endpoint Manager proficiency
  • Scripting and task automation using tools like PowerShell
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications in Networking/Desktop/Servers
  • Advanced level experience with VoIP systems (CTX) - troubleshooting and administration
