Are you an experienced and passionate educator with a track record of helping students excel in their SATs exams? We are currently seeking a dedicated SATs Intervention Teacher to join our team at a dynamic primary school located in South Liverpool. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic achievement and future success of our students.

Position Overview: As a SATs Intervention Teacher, you will work closely with small groups of students to provide targeted support in preparation for their SATs exams. You will identify areas of weakness, implement tailored intervention strategies, and track student progress to ensure that they are well-prepared and confident for their exams. This role requires strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver targeted intervention sessions to small groups of students in preparation for SATs exams.
  • Identify areas of weakness and implement effective strategies to address gaps in knowledge and understanding.
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and ensure that all learners are supported to achieve their potential.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with class teachers, SENCO, and other stakeholders to ensure that interventions are aligned with the curriculum and student needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and intervention outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Previous experience teaching in a primary school setting, with a proven track record of supporting students in achieving success in SATs exams.
  • Strong understanding of the SATs curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to plan and deliver effective intervention strategies tailored to the needs of individual students.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in teaching.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
