Job Title: Finance Assistant

Salary: Up to £26,000

Job Description: Our client is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their finance team. The Finance Assistant will be instrumental in supporting the financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks undertaken.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process invoices, expense reports, and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
  2. Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
  3. Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  4. Support the Finance Manager in budgeting and forecasting activities by gathering and analyzing financial data.
  5. Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  6. Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.
  7. Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  8. Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data.
  9. Assist in ad hoc financial projects and tasks as required.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  2. Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is desirable.
  3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  6. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  9. Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements is advantageous.
