Facilities Manager required for a 3-month fixed term contract! ASAP start, located in Hornsey, London.

Salary: £40,000 pro-rata

Duration: 3 month contract (fixed term)

Location: Hornsey

This role reports to the Estate manager and will manage a team of direct reports and indirect reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and develop positive supplier and customer relationships.
  • Daily management of contractors in accordance with site processes
  • Project manage, supervise and coordinate the work of contractors, alongside regular planned meetings
  • Provide feedback to Estate manager/Regional manager covering all elements of facilities management. Be able to demonstrate services provided are of the highest standard in the industry, championing best practice.
  • Ensure the cost effectiveness of the team including staffing; capital costs and consumables, maximising profit margins.
  • Facilitate and ensure that a system of inspection of works is undertaken regularly to ensure it meets specifications and established standards.
  • Ensure statutory policies, for example CoSHH, Risk Assessments and PPE are set out within company procedures and that members of staff have the opportunity to follow and embrace guidance as appropriate. To carry out regular inspections of site health & Safety files.
  • Monitor common complaint areas and based on outputs from statistics and individual/team feedback, produce plans to tackle the root cause of such complaints to reduce the volume in the future.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and escalate issues as required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification
  • Demonstrable experience of housing, property or facilities management and delivering an exceptional customer service.
  • Confident, articulate communicator - both orally and in writing; able to build relationships with all types of customer and client with a resolution focused mentality and ability to be flexible and creative in your approach.
  • Has knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, Residential Landlord & Tenant legislation relevant to property management.
