Our established banking client is currently seeking an experienced Banking Relationship Manager with a strategic mindset and a strong background in the UK real estate market. The successful candidate will be responsible for organic growth of a warm customer base and will inherit a portfolio of established customers from the get- go. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a real estate finance role within a financial institution.
Day to Day of the role:- Implement strategic objectives for optimising income and loan growth in line with annual budgets and targets.
- Evaluate real estate lending propositions, exercising sound banking judgement to manage credit risk and achieve satisfactory returns.
- Develop and implement an annual marketing strategy to maintain and expand client relationships.
- Manage client relationships within your portfolio, ensuring first-class professional service.
- Liaise with other departments, particularly the Credit Unit, to ensure smooth transaction completion.
- Stay informed about trends and developments within the real estate finance market and regulatory environment.
- Assist and oversee junior members, providing advice, resolving problems, and reporting to the Head of Real Estate Finance.
- Authorise payment instructions within personal signature limits and uphold the values and behaviours of the organisation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a real estate finance role within a financial institution.
- Extensive knowledge of the UK real estate market, including residential and commercial sectors.
- Proficient in banking products including deposits, treasury instruments, foreign exchange, and credit products.
- Analytical skills for assessing the commercial viability of lending propositions.
