Internal Communications Manager: £500 - £550 per day (Umbrella) | London or Birmingham

For a nationwide company working on one of the biggest infrastructure projects in Europe, we are recruiting an Internal Communications Manager on an interim basis. This role will report to the Head of Comms and provide internal comms support and advise to different leadership teams, developing and delivering internal comms plans and activity.

Main Duties:

  • Work with Head of Internal Communications and Senior Leadership Team to develop and deliver an internal comms plan for each team, aligned to the internal communications strategy
  • Drive positive staff engagement, lead and co-manage change comms across each business area and ensure the right culture helps the organisation achieve its objectives
  • Work with the senior Internal Channels and Content Manager to provide an editorial calendar of content which brings priorities to life and tracks the progress journey
  • Support delivery of events and build positive relationships across the organisation
  • Partner with internal comms leads in the supply chain, and JV partners

Person Specification:

  • Strong internal comms experience, ideally from within a unionised environment
  • Strong experience of internal and corporate crisis communications planning and activation scenarios
  • Ability to design and deliver internal comms, aligned with strategic business objectives
  • Experience of multiple communications channels
