Registered Manager - Complex Mental Health - Alcohol / Substance Misuse

Do you fancy relocating to the beautiful Shropshire countryside to manage a Residential home for adults with complex mental health needs and brain injury resulting from alcohol and substance misuse? A If so, I’d absolutely love to talk to you about a Registered Home Manager role that we’re recruiting to in Shropshire.

Set in the beautiful countryside of Shropshire on a site that boasts acres of land, woodland walks, in a beautiful stately home, my client deliver specialised care for people with complex mental health and brain conditions resulting from alcohol and substance misuse. They support people post-rehab with person-centred residential care and support programmes that enable them to remain on their pathway to recovery and develop life skills and independence.

The salary is £40,000 - £45,000 but negotiable dependent on experience and the post would suit somebody who really enjoys making a difference in the lives of vulnerable adults with complex mental and brain injury resulting from alcohol /substance misuse issues.

We’re looking for a Registered Manager to lead the team to excellence. They’re a dedicated and committed group of staff who really care about the clients and the outcomes they are looking to achieve, and they need a strong leader who can ensure that they are given effective direction, training and motivation to do a brilliant job.

As the Registered Manager you’ll be responsible for;

- Ensuring that staff are working collaboratively

- Developing robust training practises

- Ensuring that all care documentation is of a high standard and compliant with CQC requirements

- Safeguarding and Dols notifications

- CQC notifications

- Recruitment and retention of staff

- Management of all functions within the home

The Successful Candidate

Will be able to base themselves near to Oswestry in Shrophire.

This role would suit an experienced Registered Manager / Care Home Manager who is really passionate about helping people through their recovery and seeing impactful change.

This home has historically enjoyed a fantastic reputation and has a good track record with CQC but is current experiencing some challenges and requires improvement. There is a lot of support for the incoming post-holder they won't be going it alone, but they do need somebody who is compliance focused, can work through an action plan and really encourage people and boost morale.

We’re looking for a background in supporting people with Mental Health needs in a recovery focused service. Ideally you’ll have experience in working with people with substance / alcohol misuse issues.

You’ll be qualified to QCF level 5 in Health and Social Care or be working towards, or a professional qualification in Social work, nursing or similar.
