The Company:

Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an independent consultancy, specialising in sound and insulation testing and environmental noise surveys. They provide their services through every stage of construction projects, from inception to completion, to clients nationwide. My client is looking for an experienced Junior Acoustic Consultant to join their team remotely, by attending innovative construction project across London and the Midlands.

The Role:

As a Junior Acoustic Consultant, you will be working remotely but be attending exciting construction sites across London and the Midlands. Continual Professional Development is strongly encouraged via providing relevant training courses to expand their expertise and attending industry meetings. This role is perfect for an Acoustic Consultant to significantly develop their career.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Completing sound and noise surveys.
  • Undertaking various noise impact assessments.
  • Collating the data to write factual reports for clients.
  • Junior Consultants may supervise Graduate Consultants, acting as the main liaising link between the Graduate and Consulting level personnel.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum one year experience as an Acoustic Consultant.
  • Experience using Acoustic modelling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Cadna).
  • A degree in either Acoustics or Physics. An Engineering degree, involving Acoustics modules, will also be considered.
  • Hold an Institute of Acoustics membership.
  • UK driver's license.
