A really exciting Merchandiser role has arisen, working for a leading fashion brand based in the Manchester area. This role will see you responsible for many of the collections within the ladieswear department, reporting into the Head of Merchandising. Key duties are to maximise the sales & profit of the department through accurate planning, effective stock management and consistent monitoring of performance. You will have financial accountability, and be tasked with planning a tight commercial framework for the department – this will include balanced range building, effective communication and strong team management. Responsibilities include -

·Trade the department to achieve maximum potential with direction from management

·Create financial P&L planning parameters and targets in-line with expectations

·Commercial stock management to maximize sell through, minimize terminal stock and write off using realistic seasonal forecasts on the WSSI

·Work with the buyer to make commercial trading decisions to maximize sales and minimize any potential risk

·Generate ideas to improve sales and profit performance

·Monitor and manage in-season Open to Buy at department & category level to maintain the required product balances in-line with current and predicted trends.

·Mark-down and promotional management

·Provide relevant and timely analysis and planning documentation to the buyer and management

·Be aware of outside retail activity that may impact product performance and propose solutions

·Suggest adjustments to grading that will impact sales performance by proposing space allocation and stock level changes
